Víz és fény viszonya
...Vizes közegből jöttem: örökmécsesemet a mulandóság lobbantotta lángra, tükröm a tajték, bölcsőm és koporsóm ringatózó csónakok...
Mondják, hogy a fény sajátja a hullámtermészet. Világunkban hasonlatos tehát a vízhez: áramló, örvénylő, áradó, visszahúzódó, két végpont játéka és egymásba fordulása.
Hullámtermészet. Az emberi élet analógiája is. Folytonosan látszólagosan két pólus, két erő hullámverésében feszülünk: keletkezés és elmúlás, vonzás- taszítás, boldogság- szenvedés, igaz-hamis, agónia és eksztázis, hegymenet és völgymenet, apály-dagály mindez érzékelésünkben.
Létünk végső soron e vízmozgás által parti fövenyre vetülő játszó fény.
------
Modern létünk sajátja is a permanens átmenet.

“The highest goodness is like water.”
Tao Te Ching, 8
On the Relationship of Water and Light
…I come from a watery medium: my eternal flame was lit by impermanence, my mirror is foam, my cradle and my coffin are rocking boats…
They say that light is defined by its wave nature. In our world it is thus akin to water: flowing, swirling, advancing and withdrawing, a play of two poles folding endlessly into one another.
Wave nature—the analogy of human life itself. We are continuously stretched within the surf of opposing forces: coming into being and passing away, attraction and repulsion, joy and suffering, truth and falsehood, agony and ecstasy, ascent and descent, ebb and tide as they appear to our perception.
Ultimately, our existence is a play of light cast upon the shore by the movement of water.
Modern life, too, is defined by permanent transition. Just as the wave nature of light cannot be fixed, the present cannot be held still: it flows, disperses, gathers again. Change is no longer an event, but a medium. Within this medium the artist works—not as an outside observer, but standing in the vortex, measuring the current with the body.
Artistic practice itself is a form of wave motion: an alternation of adaptation and resistance. It unfolds between institutional frameworks and inner necessity, between visibility and silence, conformity and release.
